Jordyn is a professional dancer and accredited dance teacher with the International Dance Teachers Association. The school is also registered with the IDTA.

She attended her first dance lesson at the age of 2 and danced at local dance schools up until she was 18 when she went on to train professionally.

​

Jordyn trained at the prestigious Phil Winstons Theatreworks in Blackpool. Here she took a 3 year vocational course in Dance and musical theatre. Alongside this she studied to be a dance teacher with the IDTA.

Since graduating college in 2015 with her Diploma in dance and distinctions in all of her teaching qualifications Jordyn has worked professionally for many companies.

- Professional dancer for The Vegas Showgirls

- Professional dancer and illusionist for High Jinx magic and illusion show

- Professional dancer on the UK tour of Fast Love, a tribute to George Michael

Jordyn is passionate about teaching and has over ten years teaching experience. She loves passing her knowledge onto her students and watching them progress and achieve their goals. Jordyn loves to give the students performance experiences, run holiday camps and put students in for examinations to help the students grow in confidence and independence. Most importantly she loves to see the students come to class every week with a smile on their faces, eager to learn, seeing them make their dance friendships and leaving with that smile still on their face. As a mum of two she knows how important it is to feel confident when leaving your child at clsss and she strives to make this as easy as possible with a homely atmosphere, making sure she sees all parents and students regularly and always being able to contact her and the team easily when needed.

Emily is a passionate and highly qualified teacher, who brings her lifelong love of dance and performing to every class. As a child she trained in a variety of dance styles, with a particular interest in ballet that saw her go on to perform with English Youth Ballet. Other performance opportunities in dance and musical theatre have seen her take to the stage at Her Majesty’s Theatre (London), The Palace Theatre (Manchester) and Buxton Opera House.

Originally from Macclesfield, she assisted with classes at her childhood dance school, before going on to University where she taught extra-curricular dance classes to fellow undergraduates. She gained a 1st Class Honours Degree in Dance and Drama Performance and received commendation as the highest achieving performing arts student in her 2nd year of study.

After university, Emily worked briefly as a children’s entertainer before choosing to focus on teaching professionally. She gained experience at several schools in Cheshire as well as choreographing for local amateur and youth theatre groups. During this time she trained as an IDTA teacher in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary Modern Jazz and Theatre Craft. She is now a Fellow of the IDTA and won the John Knight Award for Ballet Teaching in 2020. Emily also holds dance fitness and exercise qualifications as well as an enhanced DBS check and paediatric first aid training.

Level 2 women’s artistic gymnastics

Hi, I’m Bethany. I’m 24 and I’m a Level 2 Womens Artistic Gymnastics Coach, which gives me the skills to teach acro to young and older children. I’ve worked with children for around 10 years and believe not only does dance and gymnastics help them enjoy sport, but it also builds their confidence and friendships which I find helps every aspect of life.

I myself was the North of England champion for my age in gymnastics which helps me understand the difficulties and challenges that must be overcome to achieve goals.

I like to know my students, to have a level of trust and understanding, and mutual respect. But must importantly I want the children to have fun and enjoy there class, whilst learning in a safe environment which is what we have here at Jordyn Louise Dance!

Classes

The main aim of Jordyn Louise Dance is for students to have fun whilst learning to dance with good technique. Our staff have experience in the professional industry which brings a higher level of understanding to what is needed to help students reach their goals, whether you dance as a hobby or with the the hopes of pursuing dance as a career.

We limit our classes to 15 for ballet, tap, jazz and acro and 20 for streetdance, commercial and lyrical. We feel smaller classes are important to make sure that all students are given the attention needed to help them progress.

Our parties last for 2 hours and consist of 1 and a half hours of dance and dance party games with a 30 minute break for food and cake.

Wedding dance lessons

Worried about your first dance at your wedding? Stepping on eachothers toes? Or maybe you want to surprise your guests with a Mash up routine? Whether you just want to learn a couple of steps for your big day or you want a choreographed routine we can help! We provide private tuition for you and your partner to learn how to dance to your chosen first dance song in a comfortable environment.

Classes can be bought as a package or individually.

They last for one hour and are £25 PAYG.

Couples vary in how many lessons they need depending on experience and how much they want to learn. So get in touch for a tailor made quote.

Private lessons

Private lessons can be booked for 30 mins or 1 hour. They can be regular or used to catch up if a class is missed or for extra training if you have an upcoming audition, exam or event.
